About R A Scamp Quality Daffodils

Greetings to you all,  

December surely must have been the worst and prolonged period of snow and freezing weather we experienced for many years, the ground remained solid for weeks, and Cornwall normally used to early flowers in December and January this year there were just a few.

Last year started just as bad, but when spring finally came we had a long flowering season with lovely quality flowers which earned us another Royal Horticultural Society Gold Medal and the Societies "E.H Trophy" for the display at the Cardiff Show, we are also pleased to be awarded the Large Gold at Bath and Gold Medal displays at Falmouth and the county show at Boconnoc.

John Edsall continued his great efforts in the New Forrest and staged a fine display,  the Display at the Royal Caledonian Show at Edinburgh kindly put on by Don Elder  and the organisers was well received by the visitors, we are very grateful for all their efforts.

We are proud to be awarded “The Cory Cup” in 2010 by the Royal Horticultural Society in recognition of Ron’s work in Breeding and introducing new varieties of Hardy Daffodils for the Garden and for Exhibition, we hope to continue introducing to you, many more in the future.

Sadly this year there is not to be a Show at Bath, but we will be featuring displays at

Devoran 12^th March, 

Trelissick Gardens 19^th and 20^th March

Falmouth 26th and 27^th March

The RHS early Show(London) 29^th and 30^th March (to confirm) 

Boconnoc 2nd and 3^rd April

Cardiff 8^th 9^th and 10^th April.
